Advantages of Using An Open Source System
June 27th 2008 09:11
One advantage of Linux, an open source software, is because it is free, virus-free, and stable not only on the server side but on the end user side.
Over the years, Linux has become user-friendly, not past the past years where you really need an extensive training and hands-on, particularly if you were to use it on servers. Now it’s ease of use is almost similar to Windows.
Another advantage of Linux is the open availability of the source code of the Linux that offers substantial benefits to users unlike operating systems with the colored source code. Having open source code also allows users to customize Linux to a greater extent than what can be done with a closed source OS.
