DJI has recently announced a new 4K capable drone in the Phatom lineup called – the DJI Phantom 4 Advanced Drone. The newly announced drone will replace the old Phantom 4, which will be discontinued when the new phantom 4 advanced drone launches. The new one will offers many of the advanced and high-end features and specs in an affordable price as compared to the original Phantom 4.
According to the company, this drone is designed to offer creators an affordable way to capture aerial imagery with a more powerful camera and more precise controls.
“Excellent optical performance, sensors, and processors ensure everything is captured with high dynamic range and more image detail needed for advanced post-production,” DJI said.
The new camera is able to record 4K video at 60 frames per second. The new drone features a 1 inch, 20 megapixel sensor and also supports H.264 4K videos at 60fps or H.265 4K at 30fps, both with a 100Mbps bitrate. The drone also includes a mechanical shutter that gives you all the creative possibilities that every flying can offer.
There is a plenty of automatic flight features such as Draw, Active Track, TapFly, Gesture, and Tripod setting. The drone comes with an improved internal storage than the old phantom 4, offering up to 128GB storage through a MicroSD card. The new advanced drone also comes with improved battery life, gives you 30 minutes of shooting.
The new drone also comes in Plus version as well, which offers a controller that has a built-in 5.5 inch screen with the screen resolution of 1080 pixels. The company claims that the screen will offer you exceptional brightness as compared to the smartphone display, it will provide you easier outdoor display.
The DJI Phantom 4 Advanced Drone also features a FlightAutonomy system that made up of 5 vision sensors. It also has the capability to avoid obstacle, thanks to its forward-facing obstacle avoidance system. The drone equipped with dual-band satellite positioning (GPS and GLONASS), and ultrasonic rangefinder as well. The company said that the new Phantom 4 Advanced Drone can hover precisely in places without GPS and can also able to fly in both environment normal and complex.
The DJI Phantom 4 Advanced Drone will retail for $1,349, while the DJI Phantom 4 Advanced Drone Plus with controller and integrated screen will cost more $1,649.
