Between the Galaxy Note 8 and the Pixel 2, there are a lot of great smartphones to look forward to this fall. One of those is the Meitu T8, and Android smartphone, which is specifically built for capturing perfect selfies. The Meitu T8 smartphone is launched by the China-based mobile internet company, Meitu, which always focus to create a phone or apps that take perfect selfies and pictures. Currently, the smartphone is only available to purchase in China for 3299 RMB (around $479). And for now, there is no word whether or not the smartphone will begin shipping in other parts of the world.
The smartphone comes with a 12-megapixel dual-lens front facing camera, which is capable capture beautiful, bright, and clear selfies. While on the back of the device, there is an incredible 21-megapixel rear camera. The phone comes with a built-in selfies app that can give you a plenty of effects and filters. That means, you don’t have to download another app to edit your selfies and pictures, as the other phone’s owner has to do in order to beautify their selfies.
The MakePlus and Beauty Plus, both apps come pre-installed on the Meitu T8 smartphone. Meitu says the front camera offers “photo quality and performance similar to DSLR cameras.” The company has also claimed that the smartphone will capture good selfies, even in low-light conditions. The front camera is capable to detect different genders and age and apply effects and filters accordingly.
Beyond the front facing camera, the smartphone seems to offer decent hardware. The phone features a 5.2 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, which carries the support for 1920 × 1080 pixels screen resolution. The phone runs on the MEIOS3.5 operating system, unfortunately, Android OS is still not available. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Hello X MT6797 2.3GHz processor and paired with 4GB of RAM. For the storage, the smartphone packs a hefty 128 gigabytes of onboard storage. To power the device, there is a 3,580mAh battery, which also supports fast charging technology.
