HMD Global – The Finnish Company has licensed to manufacture the new generation of Nokia-brand smartphone has launched its latest flagship device, touted as the Nokia 8. When the phone had announced it came with a 4GB RAM plus 64GB of internal storage. And now the HMD Global confirmed that they will launch another storage variant of its newest smartphone, packs a 6GB of high-speed RAM along with hefty 128GB of built-in storage.
The company said that Nokia 8 128GB storage model will begin shipping in next month. Currently, there is no information on when the new variant will arrive but the company has confirmed this model. Let’s take a quick review of smartphone hardware and features. As for refresh, the phone features a 5.3 inches IPC LCD capacitive touchscreen display with the screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels at a 554 ppi of pixel density. The phone’s screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that prevents it from being damaged.
The smartphone runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and powered by the Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. For graphics, there is an Adreno 540 graphics card. As far as the camera is concerned, the phone sports a dual 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, laser and phase detection autofocus, OIS, and dual LED (dual-tone) flash. While on the front, of the device, there is a 13-megapixel front shooter with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus for selfies and video calling.
To power the Nokia 8 smartphone, there is a Non-removable Li-Ion 3090mAh battery with the support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor for added security. The Nokia 8 smartphone is available in various color options, including Tempered Blue, Polished Blue, Steel, and Polished Copper.
