Gainward Revealed The GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix Series

Gainward has added a brand-new GeForce GTX graphics to its portfolio. Calling it the GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix series. The company will have three Phoenix branded graphics cards available. These are the standard Phoenix, Phoenix GS and Phoenix GLH.

The main difference between the three models is the clock speed. The Phoenix will come in with the same stock clocks as the Founders Edition. The phoenix GS gives a slight factory overclock to 1708Mhz base and 1847Mhz boost clocks. The Phoenix GLH has the highest clocks of all, with Gainward promising higher clocks than the GS but nothing specific just yet. All 3 variants feature the same dual fan Phoenix cooler with the LED lighting load indicator. For power, Gainward has gone with Dr.MOS for a eight phase design.

This is the most advanced graphics card, accelerated by the groundbreaking NVIDIA PASCAL architecture to provide an unbeatable 4K and virtual reality experience.

Gainward has completely changed its design of new Phoenix cooling and it no longer has 3 fans, but 2. Those fans are quite large, that made this card slightly wider, but it will provide better airflow at lower RPM, so it should be quieter than any blower-type cooler.

With the most advanced process – 16nm FinFET, the Gainward GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix series deliveries powerful graphics performance along with extremely high efficiency power usage. By adoption of the 10Gbps GDDR5X memory, the Gainward new GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix series gives you amazing gaming performance by two times faster than previous generation.

GPU Boost 3.0 is introduced with the GeForce GTX 1080, lower GPU temperature and better power solution will offer extreme overall performance boost. Gainward GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix series not only has new Phoenix cooler for extreme lower GPU temperature but it is also an extreme good PWM solution for those 2560 cores – 8 phases with DrMOS that provides three percent higher power efficiency than NVIDIA’s reference design. Gamers will enjoy the advantage with Gainward’s new design for Phoenix series.
