Touch Screen Phone From Sprint Nextel

Sprint Nextel Corp. is betting heavily on the Samsung Instinct, which, like the Apples’ iPhone, functions are accessed by touching the screen.
Like the iPhone, the Instinct Lacks a keypad and has just a few buttons as most of the functions are accessed by touching the screen.
Other features of Instinct the iPhone Lack: It will be the first consumer phone is the US to use EV-DO Rev. A, the fastest cellular broadband technology available on the Sprint and Verizon Wireless networks. Instinct also contains a Global Positioning System chip, for location applications. The iPhone use cellular and Wi-Fi signals to determine as approximate position. The screen measures 7.8 centimeters diagonally, compared to the iphone’s nine centimeters. The software is based on Java, a programming language that make it easy to develop applications for the phone.
